How to use the Jelly Selly site to contact sellers?

Simply browse through the available items for sale listings in your desired location (e.g. country, state, city) and request to view the seller’s contact details and exchange yours by clicking on the “Request Seller Contact Details” button available with each listing. 

After clicking on the “Request Seller Contact Details” button (while logged in), our system emails that seller to notify them that you’re interested in their advertised item for sale and have requested to connect with them to discuss further. 

The seller will either approve or decline your contact request. We will let you know either way by email and through your Buyer Alerts page available in the top menu while logged in. 

If a seller declines your request, you won’t be able to view their contact details to contact them (but they will, so they might decide to get in touch with you instead). 

If a seller approves your request, you would both now have access to each other’s contact details (mainly first name, last name, mobile number, Skype ID and email address) and can choose to contact the other party by calling them directly on the provided mobile number, through SMS, Whatsapp, Skype or by email. We recommend using Whatsapp and/or email.

Currently, all communication between buyers and sellers takes place outside of the Jelly Selly website. 

We simply provide you with the contact details and leave it to you to decide how and when to contact each other to discuss things further, as you normally would in the real world.

We also recommend that you create email alerts to be notified when future items for sale that you’re interested in become available on the Jelly Selly website by following these steps:

How to use the Jelly Selly site to advertise items for sale?

As a seller, you simply need to click on the Post An Ad button in the top menu to advertise your item(s) for sale. 

Every time you submit a new listing, it goes to our moderation queue to be manually checked by the Jelly Selly team. 

We will let you know by email as soon as your listing has been approved or rejected if it does not comply with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. If approved, it will be published on the site immediately. 

If rejected, you’d need to read our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy in more detail and make any necessary changes, then submit it again for our review.

When a potential buyer expresses interest in your item for sale listing(s), they will send you a request to view and exchange your contact details. 

We will notify you every time this happens by email and also through your Seller Alerts page which you can only view and access while logged in to the website. 

Kindly note that potential buyers cannot view your contact details until you approve their contact request(s) directly from your Seller Alerts page. 

You will however always see their contact details after they send you the request (only available for paid plans).
